Social Media Detox

As I grow deeper to understanding my highest self I crave the curiosity of becoming a more insightful and compassionate version of myself. During my social media detox I intentionally asked myself what I need in order to be aligned with my highest self, here is what I came up with

- authentic expression
- books, podcast, knowledge
- aesthetic creativity
- writing + photography
- 8 hours of sleep
- alone time
- clean + organized home environment
- helping others
- nature
- healthy foods that nourish me
- intimate conversation
- time to play, laugh, dance
- meditation
- physical and mental hygiene
- movement, yoga, lifting
- sharing my ideas
- community + connections
- undeniable presence

Through this list I realized the things I desire are not always synonymous with the “happiness” we idolize and constantly strive for in this current culture.

In fact, most of my list takes focus, consistency, and effort. Using this list as my guide I am able to cultivate my awareness around what I truly desire; for me that looks like success in my passions, freedom from my mind, and endlessly fruitful experience.

My peace of mind is found in my acceptance and contentment in the current moment.
